No — it works alongside them. Naviance and PowerSchool are your school's official systems. Genie is a planning sandbox where you can map your full four years, run what-if scenarios, and share with family. Always verify your plan with your school counselor before registering for courses.
Parents and guardians get view access when you invite them. They can also create their own plans (within tier limits) and share them with you — but only you, the student, pick which plan to follow.
Your data is encrypted, stored securely, and never sold. Only you and the people you invite can see your plans and grades.
